Who would be the audience for your media product (Evaluation 1)

Knowing your audience, and knowing them well, is generally the most defining factor in having a successful magazine. You need to be able to create common ground between you and the audience, understand what they like and dislike, and most importantly know how to get them to buy your magazine.

Getting to know your target audience is one of the most and difficult tasks a content creator has to face. So who is my audience.

I modelled a persona of my audience to better describe who they are, and to make it easier for me to extract certain aspects of their personality and insert it into my magazine.

So meet Morgan

Morgan is a student currently in higher education between the ages of 17 - 22. They are intellectual but find their talent in Art and Fashion more than mathematics and science. They study Essay subjects and are usually extroverted despite their differences from society. They dress deliberately different and you may argue try too hard but Morgan wouldn't care, they wear what they want.
Morgan is Socially aware and prides themselves in that, in addition they consider themselves progressive with a strong willingness to learn new things. However despite their eagerness to help society, they do come from a privileged background, a background which allows them to fund their love for the arts and social justice. Morgan loves sci-fi and fantasy and is a sucker for works of fiction that combine something historical or factual with something fictional.
Musically wise Morgan listens to everything that they find sounds interesting and unique, they like things that they have never heard before and is a little out there. Morgan is someone who never had to worry about not having things, so Morgan is not a fan of people who strive more towards materialist goals as that is not something they understands. Morgan likes music with a message behind it. They are the kind of person who will memorise all the lyrics to all the songs.
Morgan is on the look out for something that will combine their love of music and fiction and also their love of the arts together in one giant super mesh.
Morgan is a niche audience, mostly so it's easier for me to target their specific interest and guarantee a constant audience from them. In comparison to a mass audience where it is harder to have specific interests and thus lead to a more unstable audience that you cant be sure if they will like the entire magazine.
Morgan's socio-economic group falls within B, C1 and C2. This is because Morgan has the money ,and also the ingrained habit from growing up, to want to buy items that are not essential to everyday life. They have the money to spare on magazines and other luxuries like music players, vinyl's and concert tickets, and because they have the money, they will spend it. That's just who they are.
